报告人简介:
Prof. Feng is an expert in biochemistry and biophysics of metalloproteins. He graduated from Central China Normal University in 1992, and received PhD from Nanjing University in 1998. After working in Zhejiang University as postdoc between 1998-2000, he went to University of Arizona as a research scientist in 2003. Since 2006, he became a faculty in University of New Mexico. He has authored > 70 scientific manuscripts and has been continually funded by the NIH, NSF and AHA. His laboratory is famous for its use of multidisciplinary approaches to study molecular mechanisms of metalloproteins in medicine and toxicology.
报告简介:
In this lecture, he will present their recent progress in pulsed EPR studies to determine some of the structures and conformational equilibria of NOS proteins, and molecular dynamic simulating on a model of bi-domain oxygenase/FMN construct of human inducible NOS. They have also identified several specific residues important in the interdomain FMN/heme docking on the FMN, heme and CaM domains. Their computational work revealed the dynamic conformational changes of each domain, and provided plausible mechanism of the FMN domain motions.
