报告题目：基于化学合成的人工金属蛋白质的构建及催化性质研究

报告简介：Total chemical protein synthesis represents a powerful tool that enables us to effect, at will, any desired change in the protein structure. More importantly, total chemical synthesis allows the labeling/manipulation of proteins without limitation as to the number and kind of labels introduced, and with atomic level precision that is essential for biophysical spectroscopic as well as biological function studies. In this talk, I will present our recent work on the total chemical synthesis of a 20 kDa heme protein, nitrophorin 4 (NP4), with chemical ligation techniques. I will also present some preliminary results on our recent effort to construct artificial metalloproteins using protein semisynthesis strategies.

报告人简介: 何春茂，华南理工大学44118太阳成城集团教授。2011年博士毕业于德国马普生物无机化学研究所；之后分别在德国马普所、瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院及日本名古屋大学从事博士后研究工作；2016年8月入选“杰出人才与团队引进计划”加入华南理工大学并开始组建独立课题小组。课题组研究致力于发展高效的蛋白质化学合成方法，并用于1）与人体生理病理相关的重要翻译后修饰蛋白质的精确制备及机理研究；2）人工金属蛋白质的构建及功能研究等。目前主持了国家自然科学基金（青年/重大研究计划）、广州市科技计划等多项科研项目。何春茂博士入选了广东省“珠江人才计划”引进高层次人才等项目。
